Pink Kaolin, also known as French Rose Clay, is one of the mildest of all facial clays. French Rose Clay is pure, fine clay and because of its beautiful, unique rosy color, which is derived from naturally occurring iron oxides in the clay, you can even use it as a natural facial powder or blush!
It can also be used to treat acne and other skin ailments; poor blood and/or lymph circulation and sun-damaged skin. It is most widely used in cosmetic manufacturing. French pink clay is used also in detoxifying body wraps, soap making, face masks, mineral-based or cream-based cleansers, face or body scrubs, cosmetics, and facial powders. As a mask it is safe for all skin types, even dry.
Masking is often overlooked but deserves recognition, it can instantly remove dirt and toxins from the skin and smooth the surface. It helps stimulate circulation while gently exfoliating and cleansing the skin. Look at it as a deep cleaning for the face!
You may use this clay up to twice a week or more if you like and create an overall refreshed appearance.

- 2 tbsp pink clay;
To start, mix all ingredients in a small bowl until a smooth paste. Moistens a facecloth with hot water and holds for 30 seconds or more to open pores. Apply the mask over the face and neck, avoiding eyes and hair. Let it work for 15-20 minutes and then rinse with warm water. You can apply your favorite moisturizing cream or oil at the end.
Clay must be kept dry.
It should never be mixed with metal spoons or stored in metal containers; the only materials that should be used in preparation or storage are wooden spoons or glass stirrers, and either glass or ceramic containers.
