SKIN REGENERATION
Comfrey has a positive effect on skin regeneration due to the active ingredient allantoin, which ranges from 1-8% at the root (1). Allantoin also acts as an emollient which means that it creates a thin film around the skin that prevents water loss and makes the skin elastic (2). Comfrey, in synergistic action with yarrow and witch hazel, has a beneficial effect on sensitive and inflamed skin. Also, yarrow stimulates skin regeneration and is especially suitable for treating scars. With its soothing effect, it alleviates redness and other signs of irritated skin.

SOOTHING EFFECT AND PAIN RELIEF
Many scientific studies have proven that comfrey extract reduces swelling and pain caused by sprains or strains. One such study states that major swellings completely or largely disappeared within 8 days in 85% of patients who applied comfrey ointment to the injured site (3).

As comfrey, due to allantoin, regenerates tissues, it is successfully used for fractures, sprains, painful joints, torn wounds, ulcers, hard swellings, rheumatism and gout. Allantoin has a strong anti-inflammatory effect and strengthens the immune system. He is a well-known fighter against pain and reduction of swelling due to inflammation.
